150x150_118855_TOP                Just some interesting information

You may or may not know that emeralds have always held a place in mythology. It was believed, and may still be thought of today, that the green of emeralds soothed the eyes, and that vision can be restored just by gazing upon them. It has been reported that emeralds were used by early stone-cutters to rest their eyes. It is also said that Greek and Rome rules viewed gladiator fights through an emerald because the green color was calming.

Many feel that the green color emerald is the sign of Spring.  Ancient Egyptians believed that emeralds stood for rebirth and fertility and could even ease childbirth just by wearing the gemstone. And here you thought that you could cut the pain of childbirth by placing a knife under the bed. All you really needed was an AANtv emerald.

It has been said that mummies were buried with an emerald around their neck in hopes of bringing them eternal youth in the afterlife. Often times, the Emerald was worn as a lucky charm, because of the belief in its ability to ward off evil spirits.

Like St. Christopher, emeralds have often been used and known to provide protection on long journeys. It is believed that one who is in possession of an emerald will be provided with the protection of God, blessed with good fortune, and that they have mystical powers. It is also thought that emeralds are  capable of strengthening your memory, intelligence and offers you the ability to predict the future.

Emeralds are also believed to hold healing powers, both emotional and physical. It is believed that an emerald can lift depression, cure insomnia, detoxify blood, cure ailments of the heart, eyes, pancreas, backbone, lymph nodes, intestines, kidneys and thymus. It is also believed that emeralds alleviate the complications of diabetes and enhance the immune system.

And lastly, emeralds have long been used for their emotional and mental powers. Many believe that wearing an emerald will provide will-power, mental clarity and easing of stressful states and times. The emerald is also associated with providing love and fidelity, inspiration, wisdom, harmony, growth, patience, peace and abundance.

Basically, an emerald is a fantastic gemstone, and one that everyone should own. Call in and order yours on March 17th . We’ll be waiting to help you.

Thank you for stopping by.

We want you to have the best experience with AANTV as possible and be totally transparent.

During your call in to register with AANTV we like to –

1 – Verify with you that the call is being recorded. This can be of benefit for both of us, safe guarding against fewer mistake – and therefore a good thing. Plus – it’s good customer service and keeps us on our toes.

2 – We do our best to explain the “Buyers Premium”. Auction houses like Christie’s and Sotheby’s charge a buyers premium of 10 – 20% to cover expenses. Here at AANTV, ours is just 10%, which is considerably low. If you win an auction with a bid of $100, the premium makes your total is just $110. The premium does not apply to show specials, called BUY IT NOWS.

3 – You’ll hear us mention our “Return Policy” – you are allowed to return items up to 10 days from the date received. If your items is not as described during the auction, you’ll receive a full refund. If you return an auction item within 10 days for any other reason or cancel an order, the 10% buyers premium will not be refunded and a 10% restocking fee, at a minimum of $10, will apply.

Customer Offer Return Policy (ending in .50) – Customer offers are accepted on merchandise as a “side” bid. Buyers Premium does not apply but restocking fee’s at 10% will.

Here is a VERY important point – Items greater than $500 with tags removed are NON_REFUNDABLE. So take great care when your item arrives.

BUY IT NOW items are NOT subject to restocking fees.

Another very important point – Returns for Custom Orders or altered jewelry (including ring sizing) are not allowed.

If you have any questions about returns or concerns about your account with AANTV, you can always  call and ask to speak with customer service. We’ll be happy to help you.

4 – Just a brief reminder about the TV Broadcast Delay – Please remember that there is a 5 – 7 second TV delay between what’s happening at the auction and what you’re actually seeing on your television screen. When you call to bid, please make sure to focus on your telephone representative rather than what you’re seeing on the screen. For example – the bid might be $250 but, because of the delay, your screen may display a bid of only $200. When you are bidding and your representative tells you “last call” you must bid immediately to remain the highest bidder. By the time you hear “last call” on TV the item is probably already sold and you might have lost it.

We will also ask if you understand these policies and ask if you have any questions. And after you complete your call, please feel free to call back with any further questions you may have.

Again – You’re what’s most important to us and with your help we’ll all be stars!

Thank you for stopping by, tuning in to AANTV and your support.

Have  a GREAT day and be well!

Moissanite Show – Saturday, November 15th

800x800_43505.TOP 800x800_156537.TOP 805312.TOP

America’s Auction Network brings you another Moissanite Show on Saturday, Nov 15, 2014 @ 4pm ET. The Moissanite stands on its own as a superior gem and a exquisite blend of art & science. Composed of carbon and silicon, the Moissanite crystal is one the hardest and toughest known elements on earth, making it extremely resistant to scratching, abrasion & heat.

Moissanite was discovered from particles carried to earth by a meteorite that crashed in the Arizona desert more than 50,000 years ago.  Fragments of this meteorite were scattered across the Arizona desert waiting to be discovered. The Moissanite was discovered in 1893 by Nobel-Prize winning French scientist, Henri Moissan. He began studying fragments of this meteorite in the nearby Diablo Canyon. Dr. Henri Moissan discovered minute quantities of shimmering new mineral, with fire and brilliance never seen before on earth.  After extensive research, he concluded that this mineral was made of silicon carbide.

Moissanite and diamonds are often compared to one another because of their similar qualities. Although they are both beautiful and refined, the Moissanite is simply a unique gemstone as oppose to a diamond substitute.

On Saturday, Nov 15 @ 4pm ET, AANtv will have a large selection of Moissanite jewelry and loose stones in different shapes, colors & sizes.  Tune in and indulge on one of the rarest and toughest gems known to man…. the Moissanite.

Real Estate Market Watch

Real Estate Investor Update

In the face of the polar vortex that has been affecting the central and northeastern areas of the country this winter new homes sales have risen by 9.6% from December to January to an annual rate of 468,000, which is well above the expected forecast and the highest level since July of 2008.

The pending home sales for the month of January have also come in above the expected forecast and well above December’s expectations. CoreLogic , the industry analyst leader, has also reported that completed foreclosures have dropped 19% from January 2013 to January 2014. While positive trends, such as increasing home values, are expected to continue into 2014, mortgage rates are also expected to rise in the coming year and could put a damper on home buyer’s abilities to purchase properties.

While no one can predict with certainty what the housing market holds in store for 2014, a constant in real estate is always that local markets vary widely in their performance. National numbers can tell a story about the economy in general, but home prices, inventory and foreclosure activity depend on local market conditions.

The educated real estate investor always has their eye on these basic fundamentals of every real estate market they decide to operate within. So, remember watch the market trends, so you can be the educated investor.

Moissanite show is back

America’s Auction Network indulges on one of the rarest gem known to man on July 6 at 1 p.m. ET presented by our host, Grant and with a special guest Nathlie Betito from Venazia Haute-Couture Jewelry a Charles & Colvard’s Moissanite Jeweler’s and Distributor in the United States.

Moissanite possess fire, brilliance and luster that surpasses even that of a diamond. It twinkles and sparkles unlike any gemstone on earth.  Composed of carbon and silicon, moissanite crystal is one the hardest and toughest known elements on earth, making it extremely resistant.

Moissanite was discovered from particles carried to earth by a meteorite that crashed in the Arizona desert 50,000 years ago.  Fragments of this meteorite were scattered across the desert. Hidden in these fragments was the beautiful secret waiting to be discovered. In 1893, Nobel-Prize winning scientist Henri Moissan did just that when he began studying fragments of this meteorite in the nearby Diablo Canyon.  Dr.. Moissan discovered minute quantities of shimmering new mineral, with fire and brilliance never seen before on earth.  After extensive research, he concluded that this mineral was made of silicon carbide.

In 1905, well-known Tiffany & Co. gem expert and mineralogist, George Kunz, suggested to new jewel be names moissanite in Dr. Mossain’s  honor. Despite this amazing discovery, since naturally occurring quantities of Moissanite are so small, it would be another century before this stunning mineral would emerge as the brilliant jewel it is today.

In the late 1980’s, inspired by Dr. Moissan’s discovery, a North Carolina company named CREE developed a proprietary process for producing large single crystals of Moissanite.

In the summer of 1995, a master diamond cutter observed samples of Moissanite and suggested that properly cut crystals would make a brilliant new jewel. Within days, scientists from CREE and Charles & Colvard began a three-year research project to bring the fire and brilliance of Moissanite jewels to consumers.

Land prices are on the way up

A trademark of the growth of a city is attached to the price of the land sale. The current rebounding housing market has sparked a sharp rise in land prices, creating big profits for land investors.  In 2012 land value rose 13%, the first annual gain since 2005, according to estimates in a recent report released by Zelman & Associates, a housing consultancy.

Owning land constitutes 21.7% of the final sale price of a new home, according to the National Association of Home Builders.

Here at America’s Auction Network (AANTV), we constantly have a vast assortment of land lots, foreclosure real estate, condohotels and more for you.

Buying land offers a number of beneficial opportunities enabling you to create your dream home at a fixed cost while raising overall value of your land.

Banks repossessed more homes in May

RealtyTrac® (, the leading online marketplace for real estate data, released its U.S. Foreclosure Market Report™ for May 2013, showing foreclosure filings — default notices, scheduled auctions and bank repossessions. They reported on 148,054 U.S. properties in May, an increase of 2 %  from the 75-month low in April but still down 28 percent from May 2012. The report also showed one in every 885 U.S. housing units with a foreclosure filing during the month.

“Given the shortage of inventory and rising home prices, banks have little motivation to hold back on any foreclosures,” said Craig King, chief operating officer of Chase International brokerage to the USA Today.

Despite the jump in the activity, the U.S. housing market has seen an increase propelled in part by growing demand for homes at a time when there’s a thin supply of available homes for sale in many markets.  That dynamic is seen nationwide and has helped push home prices higher.  Nationally, home prices were up  12.1 % in April, the biggest gain since February 2006, according to data provider CoreLogic.

Florida led the nation last month with an overall foreclosure rate nearly three times the national average. Rounding out the top three were Nevada and Ohio.

Inventory will likely remain below year-ago levels for a while as builders ramp up capacity and sellers wait for even higher prices, says Stan Humphries, economist. “But a corner has been turned,” he stated.
